I’m generally not a very patriotic person.
Other countries have much stronger social identities but Britains seems to be a big mess of hating anything that either dares to distrupt the order of Queen and country or stops us enjoying football (or soccer if you will).
There are too very British pursuits that I will happily engage in and that’s eccentricity and tweed. Both, in this day and age, seem to go hand in hand so I present for your consideration my new (60’s) green tweed suit!Tweed is a distinctly british fabric and those who wear it always represented a dapper middle class wit which I adore.
Nowadays tweed has become the mark of a gentlemen above gentlemen. You can buy a black suit from ASDA for £40 or you can really make a splash with some good ole fashioned harris tweed!It’s hard to characterise my love for this fabric but rest assured it’s as much my identity as it is Britains.
